Tammy Oldson, Chairperson

Tammy is currently the Worthy Matron of Collins #26, Fort Collins, Colorado OES. She has been a member for 27 years, holding several offices over the years. Tammy served as a Delegate for many years for a couple different Chapters before being elected as a Member of the Board of Trustees 4 years ago. She also served on the Home Endowment Committee for two - three year terms.

Tammy lives in Johnstown and works in Fort Collins.

Gary-malara

Gary G. Malara, Vice-Chairperson

Gary Malara has been Master of his Lodge, Fidelity 192, twice, and has been Worthy Patron 3 times for Collins #26. He has been the High Priest, Trice Illustrious Master and Commander of the York Rite in Ft. Collins. He has had the privilege of receiving the KYCH (Knights of the York Cross of Honor) and is a 32nd degree Scottish Rite member. He is the 1st Master Mason of his family, his wife Janet is a Past Grand Matron, and his 2 daughters are both members of OES.

Karen Karns, Treasurer

Karen was raised north of Denver in Fort Lupton. Upon graduation from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Karen went to work for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell as a staff accountant. In 1983, she began working in the oil and gas industry and has been with the same company for nearly 30 years.

Karen was initiated into South Gate No. 104 Order of the Eastern Star on April 26, 2007. She has served as Esther, Conductress, and Associate Matron and Worthy Matron. Karen was elected as a member of the Board of Trustees in September 2009.

Karen is married to Richard Karns and has two grown children and two grandchildren.

After many years in the accounting and finance profession, Karen feels that her experience will enable her to be a knowledgeable contributor to the Board of Trustees. She is committed to the values and beliefs that the Masonic Family holds to be true and hopes that serving on the Board of Trustees will provide her with the means to further serve this Family.

Janet Nelson, Secretary

Janet Nelson is a 25 year member of Mt. Zion Chapter #133, OES. She is currently District Deputy of the Denver area, I.O.R.G. She is widowed with 4 children, 9 grand children, and still counting on the great grands! Janet is retired from the work force with a background in administration/banking.

Jim harris

James (Jim) Harris

Rev. James Harris is the recent appointment of  Grand Master Karl Hinkle to the Trustee Board.  He has been a Mason since 2000 and has served in numerous offices in  the various Masonic bodies.  He is currently Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge and Grand Chaplin of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons.   He is a retired United Methodist Minister, service 37 years in the ministry.

Terry-hudson

Terry Hudson

Terry retired in 1999 after 38 years after of working for five railroads as a Special Agent and a Manager Damage Prevention Services. He became very familiar with change due to mergers and closures during career.

Terry married Bonnie 53 years ago and have 3 children and 4 grandsons.

He became a Master Mason in Blue Island, Illinois in October 1967. After moving to Colorado, he joined Perfection Lodge #193 and was Worshipful Master in 1978 and in 1995. Terry joined Unity Chapter #97, The Order of Eastern Star, with his daughter in 1996 and served with her as Worthy Patron in 2004. He has been elected to serve as Worthy Patron for the coming year.

Terry is a member of Scottish Rite, El Jebel Shrine and York Rite, and past High Priest of Royal Arch Chapter #2 in Denver and Senior Generalissimo in Denver Commandery #1.

Terry has been a Board of Trustee for 9 years and served as a House of Delegate member 4 years.

Rick-haskell

Rick Haskell

Ricky was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Maryland. He moved to Colorado in 1995.

Professional Background Bachelor of Arts, University of Maryland: Economics with certificates in Accounting and Finance. Worked in Public Accounting his senior year and 1.5 years thereafter with Grant Thornton as a CPA. Ricky then worked for Integrated Health Services for 7 years in various roles including Regional Manager of Finance, Nursing Home Administrator and Regional Vice President of Operations.

Ricky moved to Vencor, Inc (now Kindred Health Services) where he was a District Director of Operations first in Northern Indiana, then back to Colorado. After 3.5 years with Kindred, he became the Chief Financial Officer of Schryver Medical Sales and Marketing here in Denver, Colorado serving the Assisted Living and Nursing Home community with Medical Supplies, Mobile X-Ray and Laboratory Services, Medical Waste Disposal and Oxygen Services.[Rick Haskell] Since leaving Schryver Medical, Ricky has been an independent healthcare and finance consultant.

Masonic Affiliations Ricky is a Past Master of Rob Morris Lodge #92 in Denver, Colorado as well as a member of his home Lodge, Centurion Daylight Lodge #195 in Monument, Colorado. In addition, he is currently the Secretary of Rob Morris Lodge and has been a member of the Grand Lodge of Colorado Finance Committee for 7 of the last [Rick Haskell] 9 years.

He is also a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Royal Arch and Cryptic Mason and a Knight Templar. Ricky was recently initiated member of the Colorado College Masonic Society of Rosicrucian. Lastly, he was chosen as the Ralph D. Larrance Mason of the Year at Rob Morris Lodge in 2006 and the Worshipful Master of the Year by the Grand Lodge of Colorado in 2008.

Likes Ricky loves most forms of motor sports both participating and watching (except NASCAR). He reads a tremendous amount and loves history and Masonic Studies, enjoys playing guitar, mountain biking, rollerblading, racquetball, hiking, watching football (playing when the old guys get together for a friendly game of flag football) and taking care of his yard/garden. He also studies the esoterica of Freemasonry and enjoys debating, discussing and mentoring other Masons on these finer points of Freemasonry.

Personal Ricky has been married for 13 years, after only 27 days of dating, to his soul mate and the best thing that ever happened to him, Cynthia and although they have no children, they have three dogs; a Siberian Husky (Enzo); a West highland Terrier (Caffrey) and a Yorkshire Terrier (Duff) and do many of the above likes together when schedules permit.

Lesle Thomas

Lesle is a Denver native, recently returned to Colorado. She was initiated in OES Trinidad Chapter 1 in 2010 along with her sister and husband. She is a dual member in South Gate 104 in Denver is going through the line there for the first time, expecting to be Worth Matron in 2014-15.

Worked in Corporate America managing and constructing video conference facilities in multiple locations; worked in database management for several non-profits; and I have 20 years in the travel industry. 

Serving as a Delegate for the past year has been very interesting and she looks forward to the challenges ahead planning for a new facility for our Masonic community.
